Bridge - Conventions Bridge – gestem.
(Ghestem's two-color colors, named after the creator, French bridge player Pierre Ghestem) is a bridge bidding convention, similar to Michaels' Cue bids. After the opponent opens naturally, direct input with its color shows the lowest and highest of the other colors, 2BA shows the two lowest colors, and 3 ♣ shows the two highest colors, for example, after opening 1 ♠:
2♠ shows hearts and clubs
2BA shows clubs and diamonds
3♣ shows hearts and punishment
The main advantage of Ghestem compared to Michaels is that both colors of the two-tone color are displayed immediately, the main disadvantage is the loss of the natural 3 ♣ supplement.
