I am very happy and satisfied with the way, how I managed to adapt to the stressful situation in the first round, when i had to get off the gate and i was told, that the pre-jumper will jump, but then he didn't jump. That's why I'm glad, that I was able to calm down. The last jump was really good, and such jumps are great fun. It was a really good day for me. My jumps are really good now and I'll just try to do the same tomorrow", said the lucky winner.
Kamil Stoch was also satisfied with his second place: "I'm happy with my jumps today. I was struggling with some small details yesterday and sometimes it can be really hard to find that one little piece, which is missing. Today everything went well and I was actually a bit surprised by the result. It was a successful competition not only for me, but for the whole Polish team. "Stoch's colleagues, Piotr Żyła and Dawid Kubacki, were also in the top four and sixth today.
Slovenian Bor Pavlovcic's third place was his first World Cup podium, but after the 22-year-old's recent performances in Willingen and yesterday's training and prologue, it was no surprise. “This is my first podium and I feel amazing. I was jumping well last weekend and yesterday, so I knew, that I can stand on the podium, if I make good jumps and that's what happened. I hope, that I can make two good jumps like the second one from today in tomorrow's competition, then I can get a good result again”, he said after the competition.
