Walrus people
Walrus is a common name for a person who practices swimming in open water reservoirs in ice-cold water in winter. The main task of such baths is to maintain good body fitness and health.
Cold baths are very healthy for the body. Preparations are very easy. A few minutes of training is enough, and after it we immediately enter the water. Immersion in water is only temporary (few minutes), staying in the water for a long time could end up cooling down the body.
During the dive, it turns on the strong one “thermal stimulus”, during which there is a contraction of superficial blood vessels. Blood retreating to deeper vessels, improves circulation in the internal organs and tissues of the body.
Teenagers can be a walrus, as well as the elderly. Smaller children can only get wet in the icy water.
After a bath and another warm-up, the opposite is true, because there is a strong blood supply to the skin. This reaction makes, that the body is regenerating itself. Baths strengthen the body's resistance to cold and viruses.
Baths are not recommended for people suffering from heart disease, because cold water makes the heart beat faster. In addition, a winter bath, can be cultivated by both fluffy and slim people.
Advantages:
* hardening the body
* increasing the body's resistance to winter diseases
* weight loss (after cooling the body, all muscles begin to work intensively
simultaneously, to restore body temperature)
* improving the efficiency of the cardiovascular system
* improves blood circulation in the skin
Defects:
* discomfort “vice” while staying in overheated and badly ventilated rooms in winter
You are very encouraging to expose the topic I have a friend who practices this lifestyle and is very proud of it because I feel 20 years younger…
Regards…
