Robert Kubica – ur. 7 December 1984 in Cracow, he was interested in racing since he was a child. He started his adventure with the automotive industry at the age of 4 lat, 2 years later, he got behind the wheel of a go-kart for the first time. At the age of years 10 (minimum age limit in Poland for participation in competitions) he has already won the title of Polish junior champion. He won the title six times.

The father, seeing his son's talent, decided to send young Robert to Italy where he could develop his skills. W 1998 r. Kubica won the Italian karting championship as the first foreigner in history. He also became the runner-up in Europe by winning the Monaco Kart Cup competition (twice). He also won the German championship, Margutti Trophy and Elf Masters competitions. In the season 2000, the last one in karting, Robert won fourth place in the European and World Championships. At the end of the season, he made his first car tests - in Formula Renault 2000.

W 2001 began his adventure with Formula Renault 2000 Eurocup and took it in 14. place. In the season 2002 Robert won four races and took the title of vice-champion of Italy in Formula Renault, and in the Eurocup series it came in seventh place. At the end of the season, Robert made a guest appearance on the Brazilian Formula race track 1 – Interlagos, where he took pole position and took a decisive victory. W 2003 made his debut in Formula One 3 Euroseries and took 12th place. Perhaps he would have been better if it had not been for the road accident in which he participated and in which he broke his arm. As a result, he had a shortened season. But a year later he won 7 place.

Season 2005 He started as a Formula One World Series by Renault rider as the first driver of the Epsilon Euskadi team. Consistent and steady driving throughout the season resulted in the title of the championship. In November, he took part in the prestigious Formula Race for the third time in his career 3 w Macau, where he took second place. Two weeks later, Robert Kubica took his first Formula One tests as a reward for winning the World Series by Renault title 1 in the Renault F1 Team. The results obtained by the Pole made a great impression in the Formula community 1. Three weeks later, 20 of December, Robert Kubica has signed a contract with the BMW Sauber F1 Team, under which the season 2006 he will act as a test driver and during the Grand Prix weekends his task will be to participate in Friday training sessions and as a reserve driver.

Hard work and demonstrated enthusiasm resulted in the start in the Hungarian GP after the BMW Sauber driver, Jack Villeneuve, announced that he could not start due to an injury after an accident. On his debut on the track, Hungaroring was high 7 place. Unfortunately, after weighing the car, it turned out, that he is 2 kg too light and Robert was disqualified. Soon after, the team announced that Jack Villeneuve had terminated the contract by mutual agreement and his place until the end of the season. 2006 will be occupied by Robert Kubica.

In the next race 27 On August, at the Istanbul Raicing Circuit in Turkey, Robert finished 12. place. After an initial good start with 8. places was slowly losing position. As it turned out, the problem was the wrong selection of tires that could not cope with the conditions on the track.

This mistake was not repeated in the next race for the Italian GP at Monza (10 September). In qualifying, Robert took over 7 place but as a result of the withdrawal of Fernando Alonso, Fr. 5 rearward position (on 10 place) The Pole moved up one position. He started from the sixth place splendidly. Immediately after the start, he broke through on 4 place, after a short fight with a teammate – Nick Heidfeld – moved up to the third position. On 43 the lap in front of it on 3. Fernando Alonso's place, the engine exploded, which meant the end of the race for the Spaniard, and promotion to Robert for the Spaniard 3. place. This is also how the race ended. On the podium he stood next to Kimi Räikkönen and Michael Schumacher.
