The history of the hill
In 1932 On the site of today's stadium, a ski jumping hill with a K-point was built 60 m. In 1938 the first of these was organized in Titisee-Neustadt 12 throughout history, German championship.
In 1949 next to the first Hochfirst Ski Jump, the Hochfirst Great Ski Jump was built. 15.01.1950 transferred 500 cubic meters of snow from the nearby area, to make a solemn opening in the presence 15 000 viewers. No distance was exceeded on this hill 95 meters.
After the construction of the Hochfirst Great Ski Jump, the Medium Hochfirst was built. From 1957 do 1962 the first competition was held on the hill covered with plastic mattings. In 1993 a small ski jump was built, K-40 for learners to jump (Fritz-Heitzmann ski jump).
The hill record at the Great Hill was held by Jens Weißflog (121 m established in 1995).
In 2000 year at the expense 6,5 million DM the ski jump was reconstructed, so that she could apply for the organization of the World Cup. Modernization was made in just 1 year. Wanted, so that jumps up to are possible here 150 m. The Hochfirst ski jump is Germany's largest natural hill.
In 2001 the first World Cup competition took place.
