The specificity of canoe tourism

Never before has interest in tourism been as widespread as it is today. Thanks to various forms of holidays, excursions, camps, rallies, rallies and rafting, millions of people go in tourism, regenerating health and strength, visiting the country, learning and evaluating the changes taking place in it. Gaining knowledge about the country in this way shapes and develops awareness.

Before the organizers of tourism in Poland, in addition to the obligation to direct tourist traffic, the task of gaining more and more of its supporters from among people who do not yet appreciate tourism or practice its inappropriate forms.

Canoeing tourism is classified as qualified tourism, where, in addition to good intentions, good health is required, physical condition and specific skills in using tourist equipment.

In kayaking tourism, the constant connection with water and the use of a kayak as a means of transport places certain requirements, which must be strictly adhered to. Above all, the ability to swim is an indispensable condition. Then basic steering and rowing skills are required. You may not know how to prepare meals, it is possible to put up a tent badly or not be able to put it together - if, however, due to unskilful steering, the canoe capsizes on the lake far from the shore, and the crew will not know how to swim… could be wrong.

Canoeing tourism has specific features, which affect:

- establishing direct contact with the surrounding nature;

- getting to know various landscape forms, plant and animal species;

- physical and mental regeneration by changing the environment and staying in the natural environment;

- character education, kneading quick orientation, resourcefulness, independence;

- shaping the principles of camaraderie and a sense of collective solidarity;

- instilling the principles of nature conservation, passion for sightseeing and learning.

If we add an adventure element to it, which accompanies the flow of the unknown, a new trail, taste of prepared dishes, the charms of camping, independence, wonderful freedom and evening bonfires - it becomes understandable, why the ranks of the canoeists are constantly growing, powered by new followers of this beautiful field of qualified tourism.
